Rotting Christ

The Rotting Christ group to listen to more and more new fans is a musical group, founded in 1987 in Athens, which presents its tracks in the style of metal-gothic-black. Their creative activity is based on symphonic music, and today the guys successfully use ethnic and folk motives.
This collective Rotting Christ, whose songs are heard in various media, has existed for twenty years. Initially, the musicians played grindcore, then switched to black metal. And in the last compilations, dark metal was felt in general. They almost completely abandoned black, but the extreme sounding still remained.
The first thing that the band released in 1989 was the studio material "Satanas Tedeum". This track allowed the guys to sign an agreement with the "Deathlike Silence Production" organization.
This release opened up new opportunities for the team. They became popular among the Greeks, and they were also invited to cooperate with the label "Osmose Productions".
Around the same time period, the band members were joined by George, who was in charge of playing the keys.
Thanks to the help of the keyboardist, we managed to record the most powerful compilation "Thy Mighty Contract". Both fans and music critics have received it perfectly.
To consolidate their status, the collective organized a tour of Europe, their tour was called "Fuck Christ.
When the guys returned from the tour, they had a fight to smithereens with "Osmose Productions", broke the contract with them and were assigned to the already boring label "Unisound".
 On "Non Serviam", which was presented by this organization, as well as on the previous disc, the significant influence of the groups Venom and Celtic Frost was felt. In the course of the growing success, the Satanas Tedeum demo was re-released on vinyl, and the band went on tour to Mexico.
1996 was remembered by the fact that the project signed an agreement with the label "Century Media". And soon it was possible to see the result of joint activities. Rotting Christ has released an atmospheric album called "Triarchy Of The Lost Lovers".
The subsequent release became more melancholy. It could be safely classified as dark metal and gothic metal.
Then another collection was presented in 1999, it also turned out to be gloomy. Gothic was present. The collective in support of this disc went on a large-scale tour, which included concerts in America and the Mexican regions.
A year later, the performers made the decision to stop with the gothic metal genre and presented a hard-core extreme album called "Khronos".
The habit of returning to black metal can be traced back to 2002, when "Genesis" was released. However, there are elements of gothic metal.
Two years later, a collection is published again, in which they continue to implement ideas with choirs. The sound of Sanctus Diavolos is much harsher than the band's previous creative activities. But if you touch upon the melody and unusual decisions, then they prevail.
Over the next years, the musicians continue to release albums that delight fans.
